This was a particularly good week, with many stocks performing very nicely indeed. But a number are now showing profit-taking or initial sell-off bars.
Up to now I’ve been consistently bullish with some caution. Bullish was the correct direction, the caution might have been over-cautious! But no harm done either! Protecting your profits with our P2 technique and focusing only on optimal setups with Big Money Footprints near Key Levels never did anyone any harm!
Market Outlook:
Last weekend’s guidance on a broader rally taking hold bore fruit over the last five days.
While some stocks are beginning to look overstretched with potential profit-taking bars, there are still a number of very attractive bullish setups forming near Key Levels.

The Main Indices:
The S&P has broken out again on Friday, but there is a but!
The QQQ was a bit choppy last week. Time will tell whether that’s a consolidation or a wobble.
The IWM had a storming week – better than I had anticipated.
Market Timers:
- Longer Term Market Timer (OVIsi): Still half-green. If the indices don’t pull back, it will turn full green.
- Medium Term Swing Timer: Bullish, like the last couple of weeks (this really is a fantastic indicator!)
- SPY OVI: Doing ok. The QQQ’s OVI remains positive while the DIA’s remains uninspired.
Fast Filters Stock Selection:
As per the last few weeks, I’m still covering more bullish stocks than bearish, and the main Big Money Footprints I’m looking for are the OVI, Key Levels, Shrinking Retracements and consolidations. Look back and see how many wonderful moves started from these setups. Also, note post-earnings.

Big upgrades are imminent …
Important design improvements and the new Watchlist upgrade will be first up.
Today I show a few bearish Shrinking Retracements which will also be made available in the VIP filter areas soon. These are so important when they are in the right context along with OVI and recent activity near Key Levels.
It’s a busy summer for us as we will release the new upgraded Journal app with an inbuilt calculator for you to be in control of risk at all times, and there will be also the TV component so you can watch education content beside the chart you’re looking at.
