Back from New York on Wednesday morning it’s been a hectic week, with Wednesday night being spent in the Emergency Room until 3.30am with the missus, but luckily all is now well!
In a moment I’ll give you some of the best all-round advice you can get when it comes to considering your investments.
Last week’s reminder on trade management was quite timely because for many August was an awkward month, which I did cover while it was actually happening.
If the market feels and looks choppy, dial your activity down and be patient for calmer waters.
Chloe, who is now in my mentorship team is particularly good at that!
The good news is that what we saw from OVI Traders in support was a mix of either surprisingly good outcomes considering the conditions, and/or excellent trade management, which saved the day.
There is one trader who had particularly awful luck – with a couple of winners (that would have pretty much balanced the books) either not being executed or being made as paper trades! BUT … their trade management was exemplary and so in the fullness of time August will effectively be a blip in the grand scheme of things.
Remember, the winning formula is:
A high probability setup PLUS our special, simple trade management steps.
…
Now for that priceless advice, which comes as a result of spending a very productive time in New York …
Here it is:
Don’t bet against America long term!
Sure, like every mature western economy America has its share of challenges.
BUT … when you experience the energy, the dynamism, the can-do attitude, the creativity and innovation that runs through the veins of entrepreneurs large-and-small in that country, you cannot fail to be inspired with a sense of deep admiration.
So yes, there will be blips, divisions, even crashes in the future.
But please don’t listen to the conspiracy theorists …
America will always come through in the end …
And our job is to identify the leading stocks that reveal themselves by being backed by the savviest sophisticated investors in America.
That’s what we specialize in … and as you’ll discover in the coming weeks, we’re getting better and better at it!
Earnings is now just a few weeks away, and today’s review includes new setups, older setups that we’ve been monitoring recently, OVI flags, pre-earnings, post-earnings, and potential straddles.
I’ve popped them all in your “Stocks to Watch” watchlist.
