OVI Market Action:
Like it or not, logical or not, the markets are poised to break one way or another. Bull flags still have the edge, but there are some beautiful looking bear flags out there too, and the OVI is not compelling one way or another – this happens from time to time and is a general sign of indecision. Very soon I’ll be able to tell you more about specific institutional trades occurring in the options markets but for now if I were to bet on a short term breakout, it would have to be to the upside. Would it last? I don’t know, which is why I’m a bit ambivalent on the markets right now. The one sign pointing to stocks rising is that bonds have peaked for the time being.
