Hi Everyone
Following my video earlier this week, remember, we’re currently in earnings season, and while there are some great looking (bear) flag patterns appearing, make sure you’re completely satisfied that there are no nasty surprises that could affect your trade.
In this alert I show you how you can double check for earnings with just one single click of your mouse!
Most of the time we’ll know about earnings announcement dates in advance, but some corporations don’t give much warning. If we know the date, then TradeFinder will display it in the 4th column (see below) and it will be indicated by a red bell icon in the last column. The date will hyperlink to Yahoo Finance, and the bell will hyperlink you to Earnings.com.
If we haven’t been able to find an imminent earnings date for a stock, no date will show, and the last column will display a grey bell (as opposed to a red bell).
Even if TradeFinder doesn’t show an earnings date it’s still prudent to click on the grey bell so you can check with Earnings.com.
The grey bell links straight to the particular stock’s page on Earnings.com, which will then show you an estimated announcement date if an official date hasn’t yet been declared.
Some nice bear flag breakouts today included RF and MGM, so congratulations to those of you who’ve made profits there. As we’re still in earnings season and the market is still choppy, it’s prudent to take that first stage profit a bit earlier than normal, just in case the market makes a big reversal on a major company’s earnings news.
All the best
Guy
