Unsurprisingly for this time of year, and perhaps something to do with the hurricane hitting the east coast, volumes were light in yesterday’s trading, thereby taking the shine off some impressive gains. See the charts below and read my comments on the SPY and QQQ.
I consider we’re still in a market that is likely to have whipsaw-like characteristics, so when trading ranges tighten up a bit then I’ll be excited again.
Among stocks that are showing promise, AMZN has broken resistance and the OVI is poking into positive territory again. A consolidation would be helpful.
