The Markets …
While the indices have crept up, it’s been a mixed market this past week.
You can see how odd it’s been by looking at our consolidations count in the Dashboard …
Out of 60 consolidations in the top 1,000 stocks, 43 are bear flags and none are bull flags! Many of the so-called bear flags forming will actually turn out to be pullback consolidations that will break to the upside. But you see the unusual stat in that here we are in a bullish market, but with no bull flags!
Another observation from last week is that despite a mixed overall performance, very few of the overbought stocks I highlighted retreated meaningfully. This means there are still plenty of overbought stocks out there, and as we stand today most of them are looking like they’ll remain overbought until there’s a catalyst to the downside.

Market Outlook:
Our market commentary continues to be outstanding. Mastering market timing enables you to swim WITH the tide at the right time.
Last week I said “choppiness is the most likely outcome for the coming days … Probably not optimal conditions …”.
I think that’s been a good shout.
For this coming week I anticipate more upside and and more choppiness.
I’m loving our new VIP filters that are giving us more control over the Big Money Footprints setups we’re finding near Key Levels.

Bullish, not overbought. - The Main Indices:
A mixed bag in terms of OVI readings for the indices.
The OVI for DIA is blue. IWM has just turned blue. SPY is bouncy but positive. QQQ is just emerging from red.
Stock Selection:
Again, today I’ve focused on post-earnings setups near Key Levels for potential breakouts, and some potential reversals from oversold positions.
At the London VIP Summit we’ll go through exercises where we can use the filter combinations to highlight great setups and save time.
Pick your playbook and stick to the best quality setups that conform to it.
My playbook is OVI, near Key Levels, Shrinking Retracements, and a consolidation/sideways move. The other two Big Money Footprints are highly desirable but those four are essential to me! With my new VIP filters, I’m also now looking more at overbought and oversold issues.
Go into the ‘Expert Watchlists’ area of the platform to view my Watchlists for (a) all the stocks I cover in today’s video, and (b) a smaller list that warrant a closer look.

Software Upgrades:
The journal upgrade is making further progress, and will be on DEV (the development site) for the Summit with broker token forms for Interactive Brokers. We’re looking at other brokers to integrate with as well.
Soon we’ll also deploy updated ‘How To’ video guides, and we’ve already deployed a handy ‘How To’ clickthrough guide to help you navigate the platform. We’ll also be upgrading the Fast Filters still further.
The full mobile phone (portrait) optimization is in the plan for the spring, and more dynamic notifications from inside the application will follow that. Lots to do!
