A quick tip on how to use our filters intelligently in FlagTrader.
* Let’s say you start your routine with the OVI Traders Club Express40 stocks.
* You see that CVX and SLB both have positive OVIs and are trending upwards. Both these stocks are in the ENERGY (Oil and Gas) sector.
* You therefore become intrigued by that sector.
* If you don’t have access to FlagTrader, that’s fine, you’ve still got tremendous value from the information you’ve seen in your OVI Traders Club tool.
* But, if you do have access to FlagTrader, then you can take things to another level by focusing on that sector, and combining it with filters for positive OVI for 5 days.
* Click on the search button at the bottom right of the TradeFinder to generate the list of stocks.
* Adjust your parameters accordingly to allow fewer or more stocks past the filter. You can adjust filters such as volume, stock price, Extreme OVI, etc. Just click on any of the “?” icons for more information about the particular filter the icon is attached to.
* Then click on the OVI Chart icon in the yellow box to bring up the OVI charts for the list of stocks generated by your filters.
* Size the charts appropriately as instructed here:
* Then run through the newly focused list of stocks search just for the ENERGY sector.
