The Markets …
The big holiday weeks are always tricky to interpret as so many participants are absent. On the face of it the temptation is to be bearish with three of the main indices consolidating below their 50-day moving averages.
But that’s not the way I’m seeing it.

Market Outlook:
Our market commentary continues to be outstanding. Mastering market timing enables you to swim WITH the tide at the right time.
For the last two weeks I’ve said the two possible outcomes were either a sharp rebound back up, or a Waterfall resuming the recent downward momentum, and that we needed more bars of information to get a clearer picture.
A sideways week for the main indices should extend that commentary further, but …
… with earnings less than two weeks away and mixed Market Timing signals, I’m more inclined to focus on bullish setups.
The two holiday weeks acknowledged, the markets didn’t take the opportunity to collapse into the waterfalls that were forming, and Friday saw a positive momentum reaction from the previous day’s bearish momentum.

Bearish but emerging from oversold. - The Main Indices:
None of the OVIs for the four major indices are totally compelling in either direction this week, but they’re generally pointing as if they’re going to go positive next week.
Stock Selection:
The key to consisency is to pick your playbook and stick to the best quality setups that conform to it.
My playbook is OVI, near Key Levels, Shrinking Retracements, and a consolidation/sideways move. The other two Big Money Footprints are highly desirable but those four are essential to me! With my new VIP filters, I’m also now looking more at overbought and oversold issues.
